Cheeseburger Soup Recipe

** I have to apologize in advance!  I did not take a photo of this recipe because it was made before heading to church and I was in a rush!  I will definitely update when I do!**

Ingredients

1.5 lbs of ground beef 

1 carton of chicken stock

2 cups potato hash 

1/2 a small head of lettuce chopped

10-12 slices of hamburger pickles (chopped)

1 cup heavy cream

small package of velvetta cheese (cubed)

2 tablespoon of Worchestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Adobo

1 teaspoon basil

salt and pepper to taste

Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain.

Combine ground beef with all ingredients, except for cream and velvetta cheese, in a crock pot.

Cook on high for 3 hours.

Add cream and velvetta and cook for additional hour.

Add shredded cheddar cheese and a pickle as a topping but this is optional.

Cornbread Waffles stacked with Chili

Ingredients:

1.5 lbs of ground beef

1 large can of Hunts tomatoes with basil

1 medium onion chopped

1 green pepper chopped

1 red pepper chopped

1 yellow pepper chopped

2 tbsp Adobo

2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 tbsp chili powder

1 tsp curry powder

salt and pepper

1 box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

(please feel free to add more of whatever ingredient you like)

For the Chili:

Brown ground beef.

Add all ingredients into the crock pot and cook on High for 4-5 hours.

For Cornbread waffles:

Mix ingredients as instructed on the box (the waffle instructions are on the side of the box).

Make waffles with your waffle maker.

One box will give you 6-8 waffles.

Make sure to make waffles right before you serve.  I top my waffles with chili then top it all with some sour cream and shredded cheese.

New Beginning Pentecostal Church Women's Trip: Sight and Sound Theater

 Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to join our church for the Women's Trip to the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster , PA.  This trip was a gift from God from the minute I entered that bus!  

First I have to tell you about the horrible day I had before that almost kept me from enjoying this trip!  Everything that could go wrong did that Friday.  My three year old was abnormally hyper.  My kitchen window had been leaking for two days at that time.  My back door then decided it wanted to let a river of melted snow into the kitchen and the icing on the cake was getting a ridiculously large (and wrong) electric bill.  By that evening I was so torn I truly thought that going on this trip would be another disaster...the devil was wrong!

 

I decided to collect whatever strength I had left and got myself up that morning.  I ended up sitting on the bus next to a lifelong friend that I hadn't talked to in years and reconnected with her during the ride!

First we did some shopping at the local outlets then went to eat at an awesome buffet.

 

I was in awe when we finally arrived at the Sight and Sound Theater and was definitely not disappointed when we saw the play of Moses.  I laughed but mainly I cried during the show.  It amazes me how God chooses the moments we least expect it to speak to our lives.  While I saw Moses struggle with the thought of unworthiness when God sent him to give the people His message, I was reminded that God doesn't care about your disabilities or short comings.  God chooses us for a reason and even if we don't understand why it is important that we stay obedient to God.  God used Moses even with his stutter!  Nothing can get in the way of GOD using you!  No stutter, no disability!  This play gave me faith that God can use me just as he used Moses.  That even though I may feel unworthy God can still use me to save lives!

Even though I am the newest member of the New Beginning Pentecostal Church, I feel like part of the family!  These women are my sisters in Christ and I cannot wait to enjoy some more things to come!

Abandoned Trains

I first saw these old abandoned beauties when the husband and I went looking for a wildfire nearby.  Unfortunately,  we were not able to get to the fire but I loved these trains and just needed to go back and take some photographs of them.  

 This color makes these photos look older than they really are and I love it!

Port Elizabeth Fire Company Drill

Saturday I was blessed to spend the day photographing these hard working men and women.  This live burn drill brought me up close and personal with the heat!

Giraffes

I had the pleasure of capturing a photograph of the newest baby to Cape May Zoo.

I have been visiting this zoo for many years now and this was the very first time I have seen the giraffes this close!  This made for some very awesome pictures!
